As of December 31, 2011 it served approximately 3.22 million of consumers. The company is controlled by the Endesa Group, through Investluz SA.
It has a market capitalization of 3.12 Billion, EPS is 4.52, P/E ratio is 8.86 and the dividend yield is 6.86% at the annual dividend payout of 2.75.

EDP – Energias do Brasil SA (BVMF: ENBR3)
EDP – Energias do is a holding company which is engaged in the energy sector. With its subsidiaries the company is engaged in the generation, distribution and commercialization of electric energy for residential, industrial, rural and commercial consumption. It provides services in Brazilian states such as Espirito Santo, Mato Grosso do Sul, Ceara, Tocantins, Santa Catarina, Rio Grande do Sul, Para, Rio Grande do Norte, Amapa and Sao Paulo.
It has a market capitalization of 5.19 Billion, EPS is 0.62, P/E ratio is 17.60 and the dividend yield is 6.75% at the annual dividend payout of 0.41.

Ampla Energia e Servicos SA (BVMF: CBEE3)
The company is engaged in the electrical energy sector. It explores the distribution and commercialization system of electrical power and participates in researches linked to the electricity industry. It focuses on the conventional and low-income residential sectors, also serving the industrial, commercial, and rural and public sectors. As of December 31, 2011 it distributed electricity to approximately 2.64 million consumers in 65 municipalities in the state of Rio de Janeiro and one municipality in the state of Minas Gerais.

Energisa SA (BVMF: ENGI3)
It is mainly engaged in the energy sector. With its subsidiaries the company involved in the distribution and marketing of electric energy. Energisa SA distributes energy for residential, commercial and rural consumption among others. It operates in the states of Minas Gerais, Rio de Janeiro, Sergipe and Paraiba. As of December 31, 2011 its subsidiaries included Energisa Solucoes SA, Energisa Servicos Aereos SA, Energisa Planejamento e Corretagem Seguros Ltda and Energisa Geracao Rio Grande SA.
It has a market capitalization of 2.88 Billion, EPS is 0.24, P/E ratio is 9.81 and the dividend yield is 6.75% at the annual dividend payout of 0.02. 

Eletrobras Participacoes SA ELETROPAR (BVMF: LIPR3)
ELETROPAR is engaged in the transmission, distribution and marketing of electric energy; generation of electric energy through hydroelectric plants, wind turbines and thermoelectric power stations, and operation of flood control system. As of December 31, 2011 it held stakes in Companhia de Transmissao de Energia Eletrica aulista SA- CTEEP, Eletropaulo Metropolitana Eletricidade de Sao Paulo SA – ELETROPAULO, Empresa Metropolitana de Aguas e Energia SA- EMAE, EDP Energias do Brasil SA- ENERGIAS DO BRASIL and CPFL Energia.
The company has a market capitalization of 564.71 Million, EPS is 0.49, and the dividend yield is 2.64% at the annual dividend payout of 0.27.
